Curtis Palmer

 Assistive Technology Consultant

Curtis joins the team at GTK with a wealth of experience and knowledge from his life as an elite wheelchair rugby athlete and his time working for Melrose Wheelchairs Australia & Ottobock. An athlete all his life, Curtis took up wheelchair rugby 6 months after he sustained a c6/7 sci when he was just 15 years old. A promising rugby league player the transition to wheelchair life was fast due to his positive attitude and resilience. Nearly 29 years later Curtis has represented both NZ and Australia at the highest levels in wheelchair rugby. Now, happily married with two young children he much prefers the challenge of tackling the bush and exploring trails on his handcycle and off-road wheelchairs. Curtis’ empathy and appreciation of life with a disability is what makes him a great choice when it comes to finding the best solution for your next assistive technology decision.
