Tilt in space

Tilt-in-space wheelchairs are a special category of chairs designed for people who cannot sit upright for prolonged periods. These chairs have the ability to tilt backwards (usually 5 – 60º) while maintaining a 90º angle between the user’s legs and torso. Due to the mechanisms to allow the tilt, tilt-in-space wheelchairs require a carer to push from the rear.
