Alber E-Motion wheels
Wheelchair drivers with impaired strength can move around independently with the help of E-Motion. The electric motors that are integrated in the wheel hubs effectively support the wheelchair user which has to put in much less effort to travel greater distances or slopes. The load on muscles and joints is relieved and only minimal force is required to drive the chair alone.
The components of the E-Motion are lightweight and compact, and can be quickly removed from the wheelchair without the need for tools. Equipped with the latest Bluetooth technology, the E-Motion can connect to almost any IOS or Android smartphone. This allows a wide range of additional functions and possibilities that significantly expand the benefit and application spectrum of the E-Motion.
The E-Motion is also now available with in the optional “DuoDrive” version, which provides Cruising functionality in addition to the power assist wheels. With DuoDrive, you can cover longer distances in cruise mode without using the pushrims. DueDrive provides you two different drive modes that you can switch between spontaneously at any time, depending on your needs.
Benefits:

Easier to push easier in everyday life
Mastering everyday life often requires considerably more physical effort for wheelchair users. This effort sometimes becomes almost unsustainable with progressing age or illness. The electric E-Motion add-on drive is the ideal solution to master this challenge: Every pulse on the push rim is registered by a highly sensitive sensor and translated into the perfect amount of electric power assistance. As a result propelling a manual wheelchair becomes much easier.

Keep fit and preserve your joints
Sitting in a wheelchair also results in various specific problems for the body. To maintain the physical fitness as long as possible, it is important to use a manual wheelchair instead of an electric wheelchair. The E-Motion keeps wheelchair users active, expands their mobility and trains their vitality. At the same time, the strain of muscles and joints is minimised, thereby protecting them from premature wear.
Two different driving modes with DuoDrive
With the optional “DuoDrive”, you can cover longer distances in cruise mode without using the pushrims. Just set the cruise speed via the wireless control unit and the drive wheels will do the rest. All you have to do now is to keep the track and lean back. This solution provides you two different drive modes that you can switch between spontaneously at any time, depending on your needs. The DuoDrive also works on inclines of up to 10% and reliably maintains the set speed when going downhill.
