Jenx Atom

The Jenx Atom is a modular seating system for users aged six months to five years. The modern, child centred styling combined with a comprehensive range of support options make Atom the ideal seating system to give children with additional postural needs the right amount of support to develop correct seating posture and function.

Wipe clean covers as standard mean any messy play or other soiling can be easily cleaned, and  antimicrobial agents in the covers give additional peace of mind when Atom is placed in a multi-user environment.

Recognising that children grow and develop at the quickest rate in their infant years, all support structures are easily adjusted, added or removed. This ensures each child is getting the correct support at any given time and can accommodate changes in their postural needs caused by periods of growth.

Jenx Y-Base
Low Wooden Base: The grey Wooden Low Base for the Atom seating system offers fixed height seating.
High Wooden Base - The grey Wooden High Base for the Atom seating system offers fixed height seating (550mm).
Removable Washable Covers
Multigrip head support: offers adjustment for height, depth, and angle.
Lumbar Pad: simply attach into place by hook and loop fastener to give additional lumbar support.
Back Pad Infill: A 50mm back pad to reduce the seat depth for smaller children.
Shoulder Protractors: to encourage a functional mid-line hand position and prevent excessive retraction.
Thoracics - Highrise Short Size: single handed push button flip away action and independently adjustable
Thoracics - Highrise: designed to provide outstanding positioning with comfort in mind.
Waistcoat: provides additional trunk support to children with low tone.
Lap Strap (3point) - Dual lapstrap with the additional safety of a groin harness. Ideal for smaller users.
Lap Strap (4-Point): Provides additional pelvis control by allowing a more tailored pelvic position.
Leg Positioning Pads: ideal for controlling windsweeping or creating an abducted seating position.
Long Leg Sitting Board: can be used permanently or removed for very young children or those needing hamstring stretch.
Medial Thigh Support
Flip Up Footplate: flips away to aid in transfers. Ideal for where plantar or dorsi flexion accommodation is required.
Footplate (std): a simple, yet effective footplate which allows sandals to be positioned further apart when using the leg control pad.
Footplate Pad: to give a softer surface for children who don’t need more structured foot positioning.
Sandals: available in 4 different sizes to accommodate and size of foot, even when wearing splints.
Sandal Raising Block Kit: give the sandals that extra bit of height where needed.
Ankle Snug: An optional foot accessory option to the standard sandal.
Arm supports: provided as a pair, the arm supports are independently adjustable for height and angle.
Arm Support Covers: provide a soft top for the arm support when the tray option is not required.
Tray: a surface for work, feeding or play, made from antimicrobial plastic providing a hygienic and easy to clean surface.
Tray Infill: designed to work with the Nursery Trays to reduce the cut-out for smaller children.
Tray Padding: there are two tray padding options available: full tray padding, or half tray padding.
Elbow blocks: mount to tray corners for elbow protection.
Activity Frame: the activity frame encourages head control and hand to eye coordination.
Grab bar: perfect for children who need to fix one hand to increase functionality.
