The Junior+ offers highly flexible supportive seating for children from 18 months to 12 years. An outstanding level of versatility is achieved through a wide variety of head, trunk, leg and foot support options as well as a choice of bases, meaning each Junior+ can be exactly tailored to the needs of any individual child.

The contoured seat unit constructed from super-soft polyurethane and memory foam provides unparalleled comfort and the perfect base for true pelvic stability. Created in conjunction with children, parents, therapists and care staff, the Junior+ has been thoughtfully and carefully designed to meet a wide range of needs – meaning every child can be comfortable and perfectly supported, allowing them to get on with playing and learning.

Outstanding pelvic control system
Contoured seating with memory foam seat pad, independently adjustable lumbar/sacral support and a 4-point pelvic belt all provided as standard make the Jenx Junior+ outstanding when it comes to pelvic control. If this isn’t enough, the optional ischial bar will help prevent children with low tone or very active children from slipping into sacral sitting.

The Jenx Junior+ has a range of head support options to ensure appropriate head support is provided. For those unable to hold their head up when feeding, the Jenx Multigrip head support can be used to support the chin and make feeding easier and more enjoyable.

Flip-up angle adjustable footplate
To accommodate or encourage dorsi or plantar flexion, the flip up angle adjustable footplate adjusts quickly with the turn of a button. It flips up for safe and easy standing transfers, with the footplate held out of the way with a concealed magnet. Easy fit slots make attaching sandals and other foot supports a breeze.

Leg support pads
The unique leg support pads allow you to control leg position independently of pelvic position, creating abduction or adduction or controlling windsweeping. Simple to adjust, they flip completely out of the way for smooth and unobstructed transfers.

Available options and accessories 

Multigrip Head Support: available in three sizes. All have adjustment for height, depth, and angle.
Jenx Oval Head support: A simple headrest for children who require minimal head support.
Shoulder Protractors: Used to encourage arms into midline and prevent excess retraction. Flip away when not required.
Flexi Thoracics: Can be off set to brace a scoliosis or accommodate other skeletal deformities.
Waistcoast harness: provides additional positioning support. Attach, detach and flip away in seconds with a single hand.
Slim Thoracic Support Pads: flexible PU pads act as a wraparound support with adjustable chest strap. Simple to slip away for easy transfers.
Adjustable push handle: makes moving equipment safer and easier for carers. Flips away in seconds when not in use, is eight adjustable and has padded foam handle.
Armrests: independently adjustable for height and angle. Padded armrest covers are available.
Tray: Useful surface for work, feeding or play. Made from antibacterial plastic, with contrasting edging that gives a definitive boundary for users with visual impairment.
Tray Infill: designed to allow attachment suction toys, anchors or grab bars.
Half Tray Padding: extra cushioning for the tray top. Attaches simply with velcro.
Grab Bar: perfect for children who need to fix one hand to increase functionality. Easy to attach and adjust. Must be used in conjunction with tray.
Activity frame: encourages head control and hand-eye coordination. It is easy to attach and comes with two clips for attaching toys or other items.
Tray elbow blocks: encourages arms into a midline position and/or blocks excessive retraction.

Hip Width Reducing Pads: to use with standard hip pads to reduce width of seat.
Leg Control Pads: allows control of leg position independently or pelvic position.
Footplate Pad: attaches to the footplate providing a soft surface for those who have trouble with more structured foot positioning.
Sandals: available in 4 different sizes to accommodate size of foot, even when wearing splints.
Sandal raising blocks: to give that extra bit of height where needed. Use one to accommodate for leg length discrepancy or use two to raise the footplate height to maximise the available growth.

Back Post Extension: gives extra height to the back pad for those who require it.
Seat Extension: provides extra length on one side of the seat for children with leg length discrepancy. Cannot be used with leg control pads.
