Ki Mobility Focus CR Tilt-in-Space Wheelchair
The Ki Mobility Focus CR Tilt in Space wheelchair is an innovative tilting wheelchair that offers many great features to enhance both the user’s and carer’s experience.
The ‘CR’ stands for Complex Rotation – a system that utilises two control paths and centres of rotation to minimise problems of misalignment. The centre of gravity on the Focus CR is easily adjustable, able do be done with the user often still in the wheelchair. This ensures the wheelchair is balanced correctly when tilting, ensuring the tilt is secure and the the seat frame naturally wants to settle to the middle instead of slamming forward or backward.
The Focus CR design also features an inset tilt mechanism which reduces limitations between seating setups and wheel placement. This allows greater access to the wheel and a more advantageous weight distribution between rear wheels and front casters.
The Focus CR easily handles everyday obstacles such as curbs and inclines, is transport approved and available in a heavy duty options with a weight capacity of 181kg.
Features:
Tilt mechanism
The Focus CR’s complex rotation is controlled by Ki’s completely redesigned, simpler tilt mechanism. Cable routing is now inside the seat frame and uses a shorter cable. The result? Almost no cable adjustments required. With the most tilt options on the market, allow the carers to choose which option works best for them and the user; single, dual, foot or power.
Single tilt mechanism
The Focus CR is the only adult tilt-in-space that gives carers the opportunity to tilt with their right or left hand for those who are multitasking.
Canopy
Help shield the user from the sun’s harmful rays or when the sky is dark and grey. The unique Flip-Up visor channels water off to the side or extends downwards for extra protection from the elements.
Ease of adjustments
The Focus CR is also a smart tilt. The chair will tell you how much adjustment is needed so you have more time to focus on the other details of your day. No rotation design has ever been so easy to adjust. Ever. Only 2 bolts are required to make the centre of gravity adjustment. In most cases the adjustment can be done with the seating system and user in position.
Optional power tilt
A smooth and quiet tilt operation controlled by an easy to use toggle that gives the user the power to control their tilt position. This is a great alternative option when a power chair may not be the right choice for an individual.
Hanger options
Because the human body doesnt grow in one inch increments you will appreciate the new 70° and 80° front mount hangers. With expanded foot positioning operations, adjustments in .5″ increments and extended footrest lengths you can count on achieving the positioning the client needs.
Anti-tippers
Tired of bending down to constantly adjust anti-tippers? Fumbling with the button locks to get them out of the way? This Focus CR’s flip-up spring-loaded design makes it simple. Now just use your foot to easily flip them up and down as required.
Roller bearings
Unlike other tilt-in-space wheelchairs that use plastic rollers or plastic bushings in their tilt mechanisms, the Focus CR utilises 8 precision sealed bearings of the highest quality. The ultimate in durability and virtually maintenance free, each bearing comes with a lifetime warranty at no additional charge.
Adjustable height back with fold down stroller handles
Compact knuckle design on the fold down stroller handle allows for a range of motion from 30° to 270°. This ensures the carer always has comfortable hand positioning no matter the angle of tilt the chair is in. It also enables the handles to be folded down flush tight against the back canes so the chair can be transported in tight spaces much easier.
