Originally from the UK, Robert has worked in the UK and Australia in the assistive technology field for over 15 years. He enjoys the constant learning and development his role at GTK provides, as well as being able to share that knowledge with others. Robert likes helping people to find the least complex solution, enabling you to see the user and not the equipment.
Robert recalls one particular wheelchair delivery that has stuck in his mind and reminds him why he enjoys his work so much. He delivered a child’s first wheelchair, which gave them independent mobility for the first time. He said it was quite the moment when the parents realised they now had an independent child, and now had to child proof the house and kitchen for the first time!
When he’s not working, Robert enjoys travelling and exploring Australia, learning wheelchair basketball and photography
