Tara Bolton working on wheelchair

Tara brings a wealth of experience to the assistive technology (AT) field, having spent three years working in light rehabilitation alongside prescribing occupational therapists to identify the best off-the-shelf equipment solutions for clients. Her passion for the transformative impact of equipment on individuals’ daily lives led her to specialise in custom and complex equipment, where she thrives on the endless possibilities and outcomes it offers.

Before entering the equipment supplier industry, Tara dedicated four years to occupational rehabilitation, supporting injured workers in their journey back to the workplace. Originally from New Zealand, Tara has embraced the beauty of Australia’s East Coast, enjoying coastal and mountain views while traveling between appointments.

Tara finds immense satisfaction in working with clients to achieve positive outcomes. She has a particular interest in manual wheelchair scripting, where she enjoys the process of trialing equipment and customising setups to optimise comfort, functionality, and personal preferences. She values the challenge and variety this work brings, ensuring no two days are ever the same.

Outside of work, Tara loves staying active with running, paddleboarding, and exploring new trails. She relishes every opportunity to soak up the outdoor paradise she calls home.
