Join us for an interactive, hands-on session led by both clinical and product experts as we explore the complex balance between mobility, function, postural support, and pressure management in manual wheelchair prescription.
Through practical clinical discussion and product demonstration, we will examine when hybrid wheelchair cushions may be appropriate to address both postural and pressure care requirements, and when alternative strategies—such as ergonomic wheelchair frames, advanced materials, and specialised cushion designs—may provide improved functional outcomes for manual wheelchair users.
The session will also explore the opportunities, challenges, and clinical considerations involved in prescribing custom-built wheelchairs. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of frame materials, configuration options, and the clinical reasoning required to justify custom solutions for individual users.
In addition to the clinical content, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the features, performance characteristics, and specifications of the Permobil TiLite range of manual wheelchairs. Through hands-on product engagement, participants will be able to compare design features, ask questions, and develop a greater understanding of how wheelchair configuration can influence real-world function and participation.
Participants will leave with a stronger framework for balancing pressure care, posture, mobility, and user goals, enabling more confident and effective manual wheelchair prescription

Why not make a day of it?
We’re also running a morning workshop, ‘Unpacking the Invisible Variables of Power Wheelchair Prescription’. If you’re attending the afternoon session, consider joining us in the morning as well.
Join us for lunch!
If you decide to attend both workshops, we’ll be serving lunch between sessions. It’s a great chance to relax, network with fellow attendees, and recharge for the second half of the day. For those attending only the afternoon session, feel free to come a little earlier and join us for lunch.
