Geo-Matrix Split cushion
The Geo-Matrix™ Split cushion is often used to provide comfort for users who require gentle positioning and contouring with excellent pressure redistribution and vibration control.
The Split cushion features an 8” split directly through the centre of the pommel. This allows wedges to be inserted under one or even both sides of the cushion’s leg trough region to accommodate the desired hip angle required for each individual user.
A “fit kit” of various wedges can be added to compliment the Split cushion. Each wedge secures to the base of the cushion using Velcro. These wedges can be added or removed as needed for on-the-spot customisation. This also allows for modifications to be easily made to the cushion if the user’s condition should change.
To further the Split’s custom feel and protection there are different insert options that may be added underneath the high risk coccyx section, including a gel infused memory foam and a Geo-Matrix pillow top.
The Geo-Matrix™ Split is indicated for users at moderate to high risk of skin breakdown, as well as for treatment of pressure injuries.

Easy to disinfect and wash
Geo-Matrix™ gel is non porous, so it will not absorb liquids. Feel free to use any (non-bleach) disinfectant on all gel components to eliminate all germs and bacteria!
Geo-Matrix™ gel can also be machine washed! The gel can also be submerged, scrubbed, and sprayed.
Vibration dampening
Many wheelchair users are exposed to Whole Body Vibration (WBV) every single day. WBV can pose serious health risks after prolonged exposure, including; fatigue, stomach problems, headaches, loss of balance and more. Geo-Matrix™ gel absorbs vibration and ultimately lessens the effects of WBV to the user.
Friction and shear reducing
