Rifton Hygiene and Toileting System (HTS)
The Rifton HTS Commode is one of the most innovative toileting systems available today. It is designed for all children and adults, and provides a hygienic, simple, and economical method of toileting and cleansing. Designed to enhance the lives of the user and the carer, it is adaptable and can be used on, over, and off the toilet, and can also be used in the shower or bathtub.
The HTS Commode is comfortable, and provides users with a sense of safety, security and support. The seat’s opening at the back allows for easy cleaning and hygiene after toileting, and the splash guard deflector assists with protection from nasty splashing. It’s fully adjustable and it comes with seven base options:
- Mobile base with tilt-in-space and footboard, with 15º forward for easy transfers and 15º for showering. The HTS can be used for toileting over the toilet or as a free standing commode.
- Mobile base with footboard, as the option described above but does not include tilt-in-space. Forward tilt can be achieved by positioning and angling of the back and footrests.
- Non-tilting mobile or stationary base that has adjustable height, backrest and depth of seating.
- Mounting bar for a standard toilet that is designed to attach the seat to toilets in cubicles.
- Mounting bar for elongated toilets to bring the seat forward.
- Portability kit which has a folding frame – ideal for transporting and convenient to use in public facilities.
- Tub stand for showers that are located within bathtubs.
The seat is designed to give clients, their families and carers more freedom and can be used in the home, or in a public toilet or bathroom setting.
The Rifton HTS Commode offers three sizes. Small is suited to 76-117cm height and a maximum weight of 34 kilograms, Medium is suited for 106cm to 142cm height and a maximum weight of 68 kilograms, while Large is for 127cm to 188cm height, with a maximum weight of 113 kilograms.
