Performance on court
Only the best materials are used in your GrandSlam X. Aluminium is famous for its strength, durability and is synonymous with lightness – heat treatment alters the microstructure of the material to increase surface hardness, temperature resistance and strength. With the integration of carbon fibre, you have an additional material that is an incredible 1.5 times lighter than aluminium and has a super high tensile strength (8 times stronger than aluminium).
The GrandSlam X also features titanium fasteners and buckles throughout and optimised biomechanics for maximum power and efficiency. You also have the option to upgrade to ceramic bearings in rear wheels, castors and frame.
Airtech Technology
The GrandSlam X includes new mesh strap adjustable seat upholstery including low profile titanium buckles with mesh cover panels for better support and positioning. Airtech technology features breathable material to keep you cool, while being lightweight and tough for longevity with kevlar reinforced wings.
Carbon Fibre Axle
The RGK GrandSlam X features a carbon fibre axle which enhance the stiffness and rigidity of your chair, as it’s 8 times stronger than aluminium. The switch in materials also highly reduced the weight. The axle is clamped to the frame, not welded in position. This provides post-build fine tuning of the toe in/toe out and gets your chair rolling absolutely perfectly.
Tri-Frame
The Tri-frame is a brand-new design that better distributes the energy created during play across more sections of the chair, giving you peace of mind that your chair can withstand anything. Instead of relying solely on the axle, the force is now split across the downtube, the strongest part of the frame.
The GrandSlam X also is available with a heavy duty frame design, and reinforced ‘impact areas’ to prevent game and travel damage.
Ergonomics
The GrandSlam X is available with a range of ergonomic back support options to support your requirements for maximum comfort and balance. It features an ergonomic seat for pelvic positioning and optimum balance, with a taper seat, V-Front or asymmetrical frame design available for super responsiveness.
Frame options
The GrandSlam X is available with fixed or adjustable footrest position, single or double anti-tip, fixed or removable anti-tip, and a range of front wing designs. Whatever you need, the GrandSlam X can achieve.
Carbon Fibre sideguards
Up to 100g total weight saving was achieved on the RGK GrandSlam X thanks to switching from aluminium to carbon fibre. This tennis wheelchair comes with a specialised CNC sidearm, made to measure each and every time, allowing for any shape to be created and giving a beautiful edge that is near on impossible to get when working with carbon fibre.
Strapping
The GrandSlam CX is available with a range of Ratchet and Velcro strapping to connect you securely to the frame. A calf strap and toe strap supplied as standard, with a waist strap available for additional support. Strapping is available with fixed and adjustable mounting for versatility, with titanium buckles and fasteners throughout.
