The most important feature of the GrandSlam CX is the use of carbon in the seat. Carbon fibre has a high tensile strength with an incredibly low weight. By creating a seat from this, we are able to curve the design to shape completely around the contours of your body, ensuring a maximum connection which transfers any upper body movement directly to the chair itself. This evening out of the energy distribution makes the chair more comfortable and improves responsiveness and performance.

Performance on court
Only the best materials are used in your GrandSlam CX. Aluminium is famous for its strength, durability and is synonymous with lightness – heat treatment alters the microstructure of the material to increase surface hardness, temperature resistance and strength. With the integration of carbon fibre, you have an additional material that is an incredible 1.5 times lighter than aluminium and has a super high tensile strength (8 times stronger than aluminium).
Tri-Frame
The Tri-frame is a brand-new design that better distributes the energy created during play across more sections of the chair, giving you peace of mind that your chair can withstand anything. Instead of relying solely on the axle, the force is now split across the downtube, the strongest part of the frame.
The GrandSlam CX also is available with a heavy duty frame design, and reinforced ‘impact areas’ to prevent game and travel damage.
Carbon Fibre Axle
The RGK GrandSlam CX features a carbon fibre axle which enhance the stiffness and rigidity of your chair, as it’s 8 times stronger than aluminium. The switch in materials also highly reduced the weight. The axle is clamped to the frame, not welded in position. This provides post-build fine tuning of the toe in/toe out and gets your chair rolling absolutely perfectly.
Ergonomics
The GrandSlam CX is available with a unique carbon fibre back support and seat shaped to your requirements. It also features an ergonomic seat for pelvic positioning and optimum balance, with a tapered seat design for super responsiveness. The seat mounts via a clamp to the frame, allowing for adjustment and easy removal for transportation.
Carbon fibre technology
The curved design of the carbon fibre seat, shaped around the contours of your body, ensures a maximum connection. The moulded seat evens out energy distribution, making the chair more comfortable and improves responsiveness and performance. A better connection to your seat allows any upper body movement to transfer to the chair.
Strapping
The GrandSlam CX is available with a range of Ratchet and Velcro strapping to connect you securely to the frame. Pelvic-loc strapping is available, with calf strap and toe strap supplied as standard. The waist strap available for additional support, with adjustable tension straps for better support and positioning also available.
