Leckey Squiggles Early Activity System
The Leckey Early Activity System is designed to be used as part of a program of early intervention to maximise a child’s function. The product consists of a number of soft, bright rolls, wedges, straps and supports, which when used in combination with the Activity Development Programme by therapists and parents, enhances the development of babies and young infants.
The Early Activity System comes with a machine washable mat covered in velcro, and the positional supports can be stuck to each other or mat, allowing an infinite number of combinations. Positional supports are made from wipe clean fabric that is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. The Early Activity System is suitable for ages 0 – 36 months.

The Squiggles Early Activity System focuses on five positions to encourage muscle and bone development; supine, prone, side lying, upright and four point kneeling, designed to enhance the infants ability to play, grow and learn.

The Squiggles Early Activity System comes standard with an Activity Development Programme which covers in detail the importance of early intervention for special care babies, offering guidance on the use of each of the elements available in the positioning system.
The wire bound booklet dedicates sections that focus on the activities required for purposeful play to enhance the development of babies and young infants.

Tummy lying
Tummy lying supports physical development by strengthening neck, shoulders, arms and back, and is an important foundation for the transition to sitting.
Tummy lying supports cognitive development as hands and eyes start to learn to work together, and spatial awareness is emerging.
Tummy lying supports sensory development by providing a sense of security while improving visual focusing and tracking.
Floor sitting
Floor sitting supports physical development by stabilising the pelvis and trunk, allowing the arms and hands to be free.
