Stealth i-Drive Tray Arrays
The Stealth i-Drive is a versatile control system for powered wheelchairs. With a drive control solution to suit most abilities the iDrive can be a great solution for those unable to utilise the standard hand control. The i-Drive is designed around a proprietary CPU (Central Processing Unit) and unique software, and this combination of hardware and software supports four powered switches and four mechanical switches. The optional configuration software updates whenever internet connection is available. The drive controls work at a frequency of 16kHz, which provides real time user interface and results in improved driving efficiency, better feedback, smoother control and a more intuitive “feel”.
The Stealth i‑Drive Eclipse Tray includes the 360° mount for the Gatlin. The Gatlin mount allows mobility or functional independence for individuals with limited movements, lack of upper limb control or general limitations in range of movement.
The tray is available with proximity or fibre optic switches.
The Stealth Tray Array is available with either proximity switches or fibre optic switches:
Proximity Switches
Proximity switches are used to detect the presence of an object or body and allow users with limited strength to activate a switch. These types of switches are designed to detect objects that are not electrically conductive. With the advanced technology of the i‑Drive, the detection is smoother than traditional systems.
Proximity switches are easy to install and fit anywhere you need them, such as trays, pads, cushions and armrests. Stealth’s proximity switches are equipped with a high end three pin locking connector, making them secure and reliable.
Fibre Optic Switches
In optical proximity sensors, a distance to a target is determined by directing light from a source through a fibre optic bundle to the target and then measuring the intensity of the light reflected by the target.
These can be used in environments where there is noise, light, and even radiation without interruption. The most noticeable advantage of fibre optic switches is the lack of space they require in order to be mounted, allowing for unique placement.
